Gotta love me some Bone Broth! “Bone Broth Bone Broth Everywhere; Bone Broth Bone Broth don’t despair. Bone Broth - what ya gonna do. Bone Broth - who you gonna call. Sound off 1 2…..3 4” Wow!! I just came up with a military running cadence based on Bone Broth. How powerful is this stuff.
Ok I am not crazy. Really, just ask my imaginary friends. They will tell you. Seriously I am trying to get you excited about such a seemingly mundane topic as Bone Broth. If you know nothing about it then I have to get you riled up to delve into learning more. So put on your pack soldier and move out! First of all what the heck is Bone Broth? (Note: I provide the recipe and video for how to make this under the Resources tab and then going to the Recipes tab) Good question and a I will provide a good answer. Bone Broth are homemade stocks from animal bones, cartilage and skin that are rich in gelatin, collagen, and amino acids that promote digestive health and heal the lining of the intestines. They are easy to make. While you may find packaged version claiming to be the same thing, I am leery of something being massed produced providing the same nutrient benefits. Primarily because the longer it is cooked the more nutrients are extracted. Still as a last resort I wouldn’t rule them out if I had no other alternative. My guidebook will provide a reputable company that doesn’t do a bad job but still nothing compared to the homemade version. Along this same thought, you can also find these beneficial compounds in supplemental form (i.e. gelatin and collagen capsules). Again I like the real deal. Remember this. No one cares about your health as much as you do. That is why I prefer to make the Bone Broth myself instead of outsourcing it to a company. It is too important to outsource. As someone who used its glorious benefits to recover from what the medical community would deem and unrecoverable illness, I cannot stress the importance of drinking Bone Broth enough. It should be a staple. A food companion that lives long by your side. “In most every culture throughout history has used bone broth for its nutritional significance, versatility and overall deliciousness. Chinese medicine practitioners use bone broth to strengthen the kidney, support digestive systems and build blood. The term“Jewish penicillin” is used for chicken soup, known to inhibit cell inflammation and mitigate cold symptoms. And the English sip beef tea, or beef broth, used since the Victorian era.” Bone Broth has been known for centuries to aid in joint health, immunity, digestive system health, and more. Nutrients are pulled from the bones and cartilage, slowly swirling on low heat into liquid gold (see my Recipe!) - rich in vitamins and minerals. It is rich in minerals like calcium, magnesium, phosphorous, silicon, sulphur, trace minerals, and amino acids. Bone marrow carries oxygen to our cells and collagen builds the cells in our brains and bones as well as rebuilds the damaged cells in our intestines. It is without a doubt nature’s super supplement. Don’t throw any bones away without making stock first! Now there is only one thing better than Bone Broth………suspense……..drama…..intrigue…… Yes the one thing better than Bone Broth is Bone Broth on steroids. Well, ok, we don’t want those in our bodies so we will turn yet again to nature for help. Stay tuned for the next Blog to find out what this ingredient is to make your Bone Broth turn into Super Bone Broth.
